Aida Dismondy works closely with small and midsize businesses in Aerospace and Defense Industry to address matters related to export controls and sanctions compliance and defense contracts. She provides advise to clients on issues related to defense, commercial, and international contracts, on trade issues addressing due diligence, geopolitics, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, regulatory compliance and investigations, on compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations, including the Buy American Act, Trade Agreements Act, and the Berry Amendment.

Aida began her legal career with the Minority Business Development Agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce on a grant by MBDA issued to Michigan Supplier Development Council where among other goals and responsibilities was to assist Michigan’s Minority Business Enterprises to expand globally. Aida advised and counseled businesses on international trade related issues for specific markets and participated on the Export Group of the MBDA centers to discuss and be informed on global opportunities for our constituents.

Before starting her law practice Aida served as in – house counsel for a multinational midsize business addressing the entire gamut that an in – house counsel role encompasses. She is active in the legal and business community. As of the time of this writing, Aida serves as the Chair of the International Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, as Secretary of the German American Business Council, and serves on the International Trade Steering Committee and Export Controls and Sections Committee. She’s fluent in English and Albanian, conversant in Italian and German. Aida graduated from Wayne State University Law School. She is admitted to practice in Michigan and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District in Michigan.
