Gary K. Luxon is vice president and Alternate Group Manager for the International Trade Finance Group at Comerica Bank. Mr. Luxon has management responsibility for the bank’s Global Trade Business in the Unites States, Canada and Mexico. He provides trade solutions for companies that range in size from small business to multinational corporations that are involved in global commerce including imports, exports, and having operations outside of the United States. Mr. Luxon is also responsible for managing Comerica Bank’s activities with the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Comerica Bank has consistently been one of Top 10 Banks using the Ex-Im Bank Working Capital Guarantee Program. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the management of the bank’s Supply Chain Financing program. Mr. Luxon joined Comerica Bank in 1986.
Mr. Luxon has been active in all phases of trade finance for more than 35 years including international operations, trade credits, and trade financing. Additional banking experience includes the areas of system operations and corporate treasury management. He received his “CCM” certification in 1995. Mr. Luxon has authored numerous articles on global trade that have appeared in local and national publications. He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences. Mr. Luxon holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Walsh College. He currently serves on the East Michigan District Export Council; the Automation Alley International Business Services Advisory Council and is a member of the Bankers’ Association for Finance and Trade (BAFT).
